Children's Farm Park & Llanfair Slate Caverns

Children's Farm Park and Llanfair Slate Caverns - All Weather Attractions - On One Site

These are separate attraction's with separate admission charges and facilities - located on the same site.

The Children’s Farm Park is situated on the beautiful Cardigan Bay coastline in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park with breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Spend the day!

Come and see all your favourite animals on the farm! Floss the donkey and her friends, lambs, pigs, rabbits, calves, ducks, hens, small pigmy goats and many other birds and animals too.  All the animals are housed in farm buildings, so you'll have a great time no matter what the weather is like!

In spring and early summer you can have a go at bottle-feeding the lambs and calves. Animal feed is available from the reception throughout the season for you to hand feed the goats, lambs, calves, ducks and chickens.

Other amenities include; Junior Tractors, Indoor Sand Pit, Air Cannons, Crazy Golf, Cafe, Picnic Area, Nature Trail and Craft Shop. Sorry, No Dogs allowed into Farm Park

                                        ********************************

The Llanfair Slate Caverns is amongst the oldest in the world. Many industrial towns in Britain and Ireland have the original roofs made of Llanfair slate. Also parts of the 1995 blockbusting film "The First Knight" starring Sean Connery and Richard Gere were filmed right here!!

Descend Jacobs ladder and wonder through the tunnels and chambers, look for the old drilling holes, and the likeness of a human face in the mighty no 6 cavern.

As you emerge from the caverns, you face the breathtaking view over Cardigan Bay, from the Preseli mountains in the south to the Lleyn Peninsular. Look down at Shell Island and the Artro estuary and, at low tide, trace the fourteen mile long natural causeway of St Patrick.

The souvenir shop and rock mineral section is a must, stocking an extensive range of interesting items for you to remind you of your visit to this unique slate cavern complex. And if you get hungry or thirsty after your visit, the cafeteria serves hot drinks, snacks and cream teas.
